The main window is what you see when you start Genea. On the top of it you find the menu bar from which you can reach most of Genea's functionality. The big white area is used to draw the family tree. The right bar gives you easy-accessible information and configuration. The line at the bottom shows information about the connection to the database.

This menu is used to show the input assistance and to redraw the family tree.
This menu is used to access help.
On the Display tab of the sidebar, you can configure the fonts and colors, chose which data is displayed, as well as highlight the originating person.
On the Person tab you'll get all available information for the currently selected person.
The statusbar gives information about the database-connetion status.
